Danish full-service IT company Unit IT will take over the Infrastructure Managed Services area from Cepheo starting June 1, 2024. Additionally, Cepheo will outsource their internal IT/Modern workplace support to Unit IT. The acquisition includes a total of 10 employees and around 40 customer relationships. The acquisition is the next step in the strategic development of the business as an infrastructure-managed service provider, which Unit IT has been pursuing in recent years.
While the Danish IT industry is in a period of consolidation, Unit IT remains firmly committed to being the buyer. It is therefore in full accordance with the Danish IT company’s growth strategy that Unit IT will take over the Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) area from Cepheo starting June 1, 2024.
- We are incredibly pleased to welcome both our new colleagues and a number of customers to Unit IT as part of our agreement with Cepheo,’ says Jess Julin Ibsen, CEO of Unit IT, and elaborates:
- With the addition of Cepheo’s IMS area, we strengthen our position in the market today and our ability to deliver a broad range of services based on strong and focused business units. This aligns perfectly with our strategy to provide a complete package of services to our customers, regardless of their needs.
Part of Unit IT’s growth strategy is based on acquisitions, where Unit IT, by adding financial and organizational critical mass, can help develop potential in organizations and focus more specialized services under its own umbrella.
New business, known customers
The IMS department at Cepheo has already been working closely with Unit IT, as approximately 40 percent of the infrastructure platform delivery has already been outsourced to Unit IT. This existing relationship means that after the takeover of employees and the entire IMS business from Cepheo, customer engagements will be able to continue unchanged. Customers retain their existing contacts, but now have access to even more flexible IT solutions under Unit IT.
- It is always with a degree of sadness to say goodbye to good colleagues, yet it is also with great pleasure and confidence that we can hand over both customers and colleagues into the safe hands of Unit IT. We already know each other very well, and I know that it is the perfect match for all parties, says Jørgen Jakobsen, CEO of Cepheo.
The acquisition from Cepheo follows shortly after Unit IT acquired a larger carve-out from GlobalConnect in December 2023. Here, Cepheo was among the customers that followed the business. Today, Unit IT has over 300 domestic and international colleagues and serves public and private organizations with full-service IT solutions.
